2 Cup Rice
1 1/2 Cup Sugar
8-10 Almonds (Cutted in long bars shape)
5-6 Cardamom (Choti Illaichi)
2 tbsp Cutted Coconut
7-8 Raisins ( Mewa)
1/4 cup Ghee or oil
1 tsp Yellow Food Colour
1.Soak rice for 2 hours.
2.Boil rice.While boiling add food colour to the water.
3.When the rice are half boiled,stain it from water.
4.Separately take a pan.Pour oil in it,fry cardamoms for 2-3 minutes.Add sugar and 1/4 cup water to make sheera.
5.Now add 3 cups of water.When it comes to a boil,add rice and cook it on high flame.
6.When excess water is evaporated,add almonds,raisins and coconut.Cover pan and give steam for 5-7 minutes.
7.Delicious Zarda is ready to serve.
